- Projects are expected to start by Q1 2025 subject to ADNOC’s terms and conditions.
- All successful applications will be governed under the terms of the ADNOC pilot agreement, which will be discussed with the Challenge winners.
- By entering the Sulfur Innovation Challenge, you agree not to provide false or misleading personal information. You must not under any circumstances register your application under a false identity.
- Applicants can be an organisation of any size and either work alone or with others from business, research organisations, research and technology organisations or subcontractors.
- Contracts will be awarded to a single legal entity, willing to set up in the UAE.
- By registering and applying to participate in the Sulfur Innovation Challenge, you agree to grant a license to us to use your data, materials, and information without restriction to conduct any reasonable due diligence for purposes of evaluation, your application, product and participation in the Sulfur Innovation Challenge.
- The ownership of any foreground intellectual property arising from the awarded project will be evaluated and determined individually on a case by case basis.
- We will have the right to publicly post certain information about the selected Sulfur Innovation Challenge contestants, their pitches, their products and their applications including but not limited to your name, category of business, and trademarks and logo, in the public areas such as our websites, publications and other media.
- We reserve the right to reject entry by, or cease the continued participation of, an applicant that it considers to be in breach of these terms and conditions.
- You will participate in the Sulfur Innovation Challenge fairly and uphold business ethics. Unfair and unethical acts will be noted and will be grounds for disqualification.
- Applications will be reviewed by a panel of experts and judges nominated by ADNOC and the Challenge’s partners. Subsequently, any applicants agree that their submissions and submitted data will be subject to review by this group, and none of the partners or individual experts/judges incur any liability from reviewing this data.
- Judges responsible for reviewing applications may be nominated from outside of the Challenge’s supporting partners. Consequently, they may be provided access to the Challenge submissions and Challenge
- Data will be hosted on the Challenge’s website. The data will be owned by ADNOC and shared with Net Zero Technology Centre and partners during the appraisal and review process.
- Established criteria have been developed by ADNOC and the NZTC to select the Challenge’s winners.
- The Challenge’s prize is a pilot with ADNOC up to the value of US$1 Million. This is not a cash prize to be used at the winner’s discretion. ADNOC also reserve the right to structure the award of the prize to their choosing (e.g. to one winner or split amongst multiple).
- Your application should not include any content which infringes any applicable law, regulation or right of any person or entity, including, without limitation, rights under contracts and of confidentiality, laws relating to defamation, contempt, infringement of privacy or personal data rights and any equivalent or related laws in any territory where the content is or may be accessed or made available.
- To the extent permitted by law, we and/or any of our affiliated companies, accept no liability for any consequences, whether direct or indirect, that may arise during the applicant’s participation in the Sulfur Innovation
- We reserve the right at any time and without notice to amend these terms and conditions.
Company Information
As part of the application process, you will be asked to complete a company information document which will be provided at the relevant stage. This form will ask you to supply information to support the size of your company (headcount and turnover) along with details of the company group structure (if relevant).
